Parents often ask me at what age their child should start studying guitar, or any instrument. There is no one answer for this question, as children vary considerably when it comes to attention span, focus, and study habits. Sometimes an 8 year old can be far more disciplined in everything they do than a 15 year old. So no one can really give a perfect age that works every time. But here is some advice that might help you determine if your child is ready. Ask your child to name their 3 favorite musical groups, singers, or songs. Or ask them to name any group, singer, or song they like.

The word inspiration makes me think of a spark. This is how I describe my first encounter with the practice of yoga.
